Experience

Jennifer Reitmeyer wrote nine articles on wedding and event planning for The Balance Small Business. At the time, she was a freelance event planner and co-owner of an award-winning boutique wedding disc jockey firm based in the Washington, D.C. area. Reitmeyer's DJ company was featured in Brides, Washingtonian, The Knot, and Style Me Pretty's "Little Black Book Blog."

Prior to that, she worked in catering management for several luxury event sites in Baltimore and later worked in event planning and corporate communications for a national real estate development firm. Now, she's the Managing Director for Parker Place, an innovative health resource center for kids and families in Annapolis, Maryland.

Reitmeyer was an expert in all aspects of event planning, including developing event concepts and budgets, interviewing and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, creating timelines, and coordinating every last detail to make an event perfect.

Education

Reitmeyer graduated from Frostburg State University, where she majored in mass communications and writing.
