The My eBay summary page serves as a comprehensive information source and perhaps one of the most useful parts of the eBay website. Whether you use eBay to buy or sell (or both), you'll find that your My eBay page hosts a variety of important features, from purchase history to current auctions and account billings.

The summary view, which you'll find as the first drop-down menu option after clicking on My eBay at the top of any eBay page, shows you details about and links to virtually every aspect of your eBay life. The summary view can help you streamline your administrative work, especially if you spend a few moments customizing it to your own eBay preference and use habits.

Locating Your My eBay Page

To begin the customization process for your My eBay summary page, click on My eBay at the top of any eBay website page and choose Summary from the drop-down menu.

Making It Personal

Add features you want, and hide or move features you don't use in each area of your My eBay summary page. Decide which types of information you want to see first each time you visit My eBay and which information adds more clutter than value.

You'll find three tabs on the upper left-hand side of your summary page screen, labeled Activity, Messages, and Account. Each of these tabs has customization options.

Choose Your Homepage

To change your homepage view, starting from the links on the left-hand side menu of the Activity tab within your summary page, you'll find certain sub-pages that offer you a choice to save them as your new homepage view.

Clicking from the left-hand menu on your Activity tab through to sub-pages such as Purchase History or Saved Searches, you'll find the option, via a link in the upper-right corner, to make the given page your My eBay summary home page. For example, you can navigate to the saved searches page and click on the link in the upper right-hand portion of the page, which says Make Saved searches your My eBay homepage. Going forward, you'll see this page as soon as you open your My eBay summary, helping you efficiently track all of your saved searches with a minimum number of clicks.

To customize your Activity tab, simply click on the arrows in the menu bar on the left-hand side of your screen. This allows you to show or hide the drop-down menu options for each category: Buy, Lists, and Sell. As of January 2018, however, eBay does not give the option to save these views.

At the time of publication, eBay does not offer any customization to the information on the Messages tab.

Quickly Access Your Preferred Account Stats

Upon clicking on your Account tab in the upper left portion of your My eBay summary screen, you'll find several types of useful information, displayed in a format of various information boxes. Each box has, on the right-hand side, an arrow pointing up with another arrow pointing down. These arrows allow you to reorder the information boxes so that you can quickly see, at the top of your page, the information most important to you while moving less important information to the bottom of the page.

Simply click on the up or down arrow as many times as needed to relocate the given box to your preferred page position. Your My eBay summary view will be preserved and remain the same each time you log in to check your eBay account information and status.
